John and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary this last week. (June 8th) Yay for us!!! We decided we wanted a weekend away. We thought going to Mesa (where we were sealed) would be a fun place to go. So, we divied out the kids between grandparents - Dallin with Goates and Cory and Bryson with Tiltons. Logan stayed with us. We figured he was a little young for an over-nighter with grandparents.
So....off we went!! First stop: check-in at our hotel suite! Complete with living room, two TV's, and yes...whirl pool bathtub! Oooh la la! The sofa had a hide-a-bed for Logan to sleep on. Fun stuff!! Then off to the mall to pick up some items that we forgot at home - whoops! Forgot my pajamas and John's nice shirt. Shelisa was so sweet and babysat for us so we could go to dinner by ourselves. John and I had never been to Cheesecake factory, so we had a yummy dinner there, with dessert to go. The above pictures is us after gorging ourselves on delicious food. :)
The next morning, Logan slept in until 7:30 (WHAT?!?! He rarely gets up after 5:15!!) So we figure that was his anniversary gift to us! (Thanks Logan!) Our original plan was to go swimming, tour ASU campus, drop Logan off at Shelisa's and go through the temple, but John's back just wasn't up to it, so instead we just headed to the temple with Logan and walked the grounds. It was very very nice.
Here John and I are with a sunglasses shot. ha ha!
Sweet little Logan slept at all the right times!
John and I at the temple. Here's to us, hun!!
