Oh what a week!

I've had "one of those weeks".  Nothing terrible, just a bunch of little annoying things.

Monday Bryson had croup, then I injured my foot by dropping a wooden train on it.  By the evening I couldn't even walk on the darn thing.  Plus there was a hastle with the pharmacy, and then a mess with the insurance.  Blugh.

Tuesday rolls around, foot is feeling better, but Bryson still has croup and it was getting worse.  Finally get the perscription thing figured out but then Bryson took a turn for the worse.  I had to take him to the Dr. because he was retracting while breathing, turned out his ox sat was down to 90, and they suspect he may have asthma, so now he's on nebulizer treatments.  While I was getting his perscription filled, he barfed in the parking lot.  Poor kid! 

Wednesday comes and Bryson feels better, but I keep him home anyway because he'd puked within the last 24 hours.  In the evening Dallin falls on a walk with Daddy.

The pictures don't really do it justice.  You can't tell how deep that cut is, and all around the cut is a dark bruise, not dirt.  (This is the day after the accident) I took him to the ER because I couldn't tell if he needed stitches.  Turns out there wasn't enough skin to stitch, so we'll just have to let it grow back. 

Today is Thursday and Cory has croup, which of course means he's got a full-blown asthma attack going.  Logan refuses to take naps anymore...mama is tired. 

John has been so patient with the messy house and no home-cooked meals, but it's getting old.  And today I just don't want to make dinner - again.

Just anxious for the week to be over!

Pinewood Derby

My "little" Cory has started cub scouts - which he LOVES - BIG TIME!  One of the fun things he gets to do as part of scouts is to participate in the pinewood derby contest!

Cory and Daddy designed the race car together, and then we all finished it up.  It turned out NICE!!  I was quite proud!  He came in 2nd for his class, and 3rd in the ward!  He also got an award for having the sportiest car!

Reenie got MARRIED!!

One of the biggest events in the past few months while I have disappeared from blog-land was that my beautiful little sister got married!  It was such a wonderful experience!  I was overjoyed to be there with her! 

T - 1 Day
The original plan was for Reenie and Caleb to fly in on Wed night, have all Thurs to prepare for the wedding, and then Friday morning they'd get hitched.  Well, weather conditions changed their flight plans, so they didn't get in until the afternoon before their wedding.  Reenie still had to get her nails done and find a piece of jewelry.  So, I was able to go with her to take care of her errands :) while dear Shelisa watched the hurricane (my kids) for me.  We had a lot of fun giggling and chatting while we got pampered.  When we got back we were able to meet and have a nice meal with Caleb's family.  (For any who are wondering, Reenie totally scored BIG with choosing a good husband!  He's perfect for her!)

T - 12 hours
Reenie's roomates came down Thursday evening, and I decided we HAD to have some fun as we sent Reenie off into married life, so I threw her a little bachelorette party at my house.  The sisters, the roomates, and even mom, Aunt Carolyn, and Grandma Marilyn came over for drinks (pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris - nonalcoholic, of course - hee hee).  And some of the girls painted their nails.  So much fun - it was wonderful!  Lots of giggling!

The big DAY!

Reenie and Caleb were getting married at 10am in the Gila Valley temple in Thatcher.  To get there by 9:30 meant we all had to leave nice and early.  Somehow we made it in time.  There was babysitting at the church next to the temple while John and I got to attend the ceremony.  I sat behind Caleb, and I could only see Reenie's little eye over his shoulder, but I tell ya, the expression in her eye - so in love, it was adorable/beautiful/touching!  I was so happy to be there, and I made it through with only a tear or two.  So happy and proud of my little sister!

Then we had a delicious lunch at the church next to the temple.  Lots of fun mingling.  Unfortunately the kids were all sick and feverish.  If it had been any other event I would have quarantined them, but I refused to miss my sister's wedding....so sorry to anyone they got sick!!

Pictures were after lunch - and how I wish I could post more pictures on this blasted blog!!!  They turned out beautiful!  Then we rushed home, dinner at my parent's house and then the reception at the stake center.  My mom did a BEAUTIFUL job transforming the gym into a beautiful reception hall.  Reenie and Caleb just looked so happy!  After the reception they left for a mini-honeymoon.  They had school the next week, so the extended honeymoon will be this summer.

What a wonderful experience!!!  Just perfect!

Caught Red Handed

A few nights ago John commented that he was craving cookies.  He was working hard on his homework, so I decided me and the kids would make him cookies while he was working hard, and suprise him with them when he was done. 


When the cookies were done we divided them amoung ourselves.  We made a small batch - everyone got two, except Daddy, he would get three. 


Well, Daddy took a long time to finish his homework, and the kids were already in bed when he came out, but when he did I told him excitedly "Look on the stove, we have a suprise for you!"  He yelled from the kitchen "What is it?  There's nothing here.  Did you make cookies?"  Me:  "Yeah, they should be right there."  I came in, and sure enough, they had "disappeared". 


Later when I came to check on the kids I found what had happened.  Don't look the innocent look on his face deceive you.

I figured it out!!!

So, see the previous blog for my posting woes.  I have finally figured out how to post pics to my blog, but it comes with a BIG drawback...I can only post 10MB at a time, which is only like 2 pictures.  As you may have noticed, I generally post a LOT more than that.  So, I guess this is better than nothing...

 

Anyways, here are a few of my little Logan, his personality is starting to burst through!  I love it!  He's started talking.

and last, but definately not least

"NNNNnnnnnuh!  Nnnnnnnuuuh!"  (No!  He'll say this with an angry face and usually while trying to either pinch or scratch you.  Yeah, that's a fun one.)

He still REFUSES to crawl.  When he's laying down, he can turn himself around so he's facing the opposite direction, but he won't move forward at all.  I'll put something in front of him that he wants, and he just CRIES, but WILL NOT MOVE.  I'm sure it'll come sooner or later, but I'm just so excited for him to take that step!  I can hardly wait!

He weighs 18.5lbs and is 28.5", which is between 5-10th percentil for weight, and around 50th for his height.  Even though he's stationery, he's sure not chunky!

Our new little puppy!

This is the new addition to our family.  She is three months old (born Jan 12th) and is a boxer/mastiff mix.  John's been dying for another dog, and I decided to let him have his way on this one, as long as he didn't bring home another Pitt.  She's sweet and playful and COMPLETELY adorable!  We love our little Bella!

I'm Mad!

Blogger and I are fighting right now.  I haven't been able to upload pictures for some unknown reason for almost 2 months now.  I must have a setting that needs to be changed or something - I really have no idea.  And I'm not sure what to do to fix it.  Grumble grumble.  And what fun is a blog without all the adorable pictures of my offspring?!?!

So, if there's any input on what could possibly be wrong, or where to go to get help, it would be MUCH appreciated!!!
