Guess who learned to crawl this week!

Dallin has started crawling this last week. These pictures are of him discovering...and re-discovering the movie drawer. He loves being on the move.

And here is Bryson being Bob the Builder.

The boys on their picnic in the backyard - they love eating their lunch out there, they do it about once a week. Dad - please note the guest of honor sitting on the table - it's Goatpa!

And Cory, just being goofy...

Public Works Open House

The city's Public Works department had an open house yesterday. I went with a friend and took the three boys with me. The main attraction, for the kids, was a jumping castle and a giant sandbox with trucks provided. There were also heavy equipment displays and a smoke house to learn about fire safety. There were also two robots that roamed the grounds that Cory found extremely entertaining. Cory was very nervous going into the smoke house, so I went with him. He did great until there was mention of smoke - even though he was assured it was fake. He flipped out, so the fireman said he could leave. He was the oldest in the group, and when the younger kids saw Cory so scared, they all got scared too. Over half the group had to leave before the "smoke" (sugar water) came out.
You may notice that in the pictures with Bryson, he's got a bandaid on his finger. His finger got smashed by the door a few days ago, and his fingernail is hanging on by a thread. The bandaid kept falling off while we were at the open house, so we kept having to ask people for first aid kits. You may also notice the blue mustache that Cory has in the pictures. There may have been an epidemic because several of the children were running around with the same symptom. Or maybe it was just the snow cone he ate...hmmm... Dallin fared wonderfully. He had lots of entertainment watching all the kids running around. He really wanted to join them, though. All in all, a very fun afternoon.

Lunch with Daddy

A few days ago we were able to have lunch with John at his work. He took the older boys on the skid steer, and then showed him how he digs on the backhoe. We all had a VERY fun time.

4th of July Weekend

This picture was taken at the 4th of July fireworks last year ('07). We have a Goates family tradition to meet for the city's firework show every year. My friend, Lisl, and I were 8 months pregnant, and we'd been in 95 degree weather for the entire afternoon. Whew!

John and Bryson

Don't they look alike???

Start-up

I am still learning how this blog thing works, but I wanted to have a convenient way that family and friends can check in on us. Besides, I have so many pictures of my sweet boys (all 4) that I want to share!
